Nestled in the northeastern part of Tennessee, bordering Lee County, Virginia, and Bell County, Kentucky, one will find Claiborne County, Tennessee, home to Claiborne County E.M.S.

Claiborne County E.M.S. was established November 15th, 1972 as a basic life support service. It has grown to become a successful advance life support service with a class A rating by the State of Tennessee. All ambulances are ALS equipped. This includes Zoll 1600 monitor/defibrillators with pacing capability and auto/manual function. Our Medical Director is Dr. Louis Pannocchia, M.D.

Currently Claiborne County E.M.S. employs sixteen licensed full time paramedics and six licensed full time emergency medical technicians. All personnel are certified Emergency Vehicle Operators and certified Vehicle Extrication Technicians, by the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads. We are also associate members of the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads.

Claiborne County E.M.S. also provides vehicle extrication for automobile accidents involving entrapped patients. Our equipment is manufactured by-Hurst Rescue Systems.

Claiborne County E.M.S. has seven ambulances and has two units on duty twenty four hours a day, one twelve hour unit seven days per week, and also one eight hour unit Monday through Friday.
